Biscotti

Like pizzelles, biscotti are Old World Italian cookies. They evolved from the original "hard tack" dried biscuits that early sailors carried on long voyages. Biscotti are baked twice, first in a loaf, then sliced and baked again to dry them.

The traditional biscotti is hard and is usually dunked in a beverage. Our biscotti are dry and crispy, but not overly hard, so they may be dunked or eaten as they are. They make excellent between meal treats or desserts served with your favorite beverage.
