Organic and All Natural Teas

We have a large assortment of organic and all natural black, green, white and herbal teas. Our loose teas come from Frontier Natural Products Cooperative, known for their high quality demands.

We buy Frontier loose tea in bulk and repack it into smaller bags for your convenience. This allows you to enjoy a greater variety of teas at less cost, while always being ensured of having the freshest product possible.

How many cups one of our bags will brew depends upon the variety of tea and how much is used per cup. Generally, one bag will brew at least fifteen cups of tea (often many more).

Tea Brewing Basics

Brewing tea from loose leaves is easy. Here are some tips:

Start with fresh, cold good-tasting water.

Preheat the teapot before steeping your tea. Pour some boiling water into the pot to warm it, then pour some of this water into your cup to preheat it also.

Measure the dry leaves. Start with one rounded teaspoon of dry leaves for each 6-ounce cup. Add more if desired for a stronger flavor.

Use the right water temperature to brew your tea. Black, dark oolong, herbal teas: use near boiling water. For green, white, and green oolong teas, use water 170-180°F. The finer the green tea, the lower the temperature should be.

Steep for the proper length of time.
1-2 minutes: Japanese green teas
2-3 minutes: Chinese green teas and green oolong teas
2-5 minutes: White teas
3-5 minutes: Dark oolong teas and black teas
5-10 minutes: Herbal infusions

Some green, oolong and white teas are good for multiple infusions. Add fresh hot water to the pot and increase steeping time. Repeat until flavor fades.

Store tea in a cool, dry place, away from air, light, moisture and odors from other foods. An airtight, opaque container is best. Do not refrigerate or freeze teas.
